Lifeskill Training Sessions for Ladies
Light of Hope International (LOHI) started in 2000 in Vijayawada introduced a new program that helps support and train destitute women with tailoring skills so that they will become self-sufficient. The program focuses on the weakest group; widows who are suffering from HIV/AIDS while trying to raise their children.
This program provides women with key resources to enable them to regain control of their lives through self-help groups and skills training. Due to the day to day struggle with their health they are unable to hold a regular job.
These new skills enable the women to work and produce beautifully tailored items from home or in the LOHI workshop.
As a result, these women have not only found a way to be self-sufficient but have found self-esteem and pride in themselves as well. LOHI employs a qualified Fashion Designer who instructs the women trainees.
We will provide you the images and all the covering of the nessesties donation event which was sponsored.
